Positive Home-School Relationships

Thanks to everyone who came out for Back to School Night last week. It was great seeing so many parents here to meet the teachers and find out more about what their children will be learning this year. Whether you came out or not, I want you to know how much we value parents as partners in the educational process and hope that our collaboration during the 2015-2016 school year helps set your child up for success.

Hopefully, your child’s teachers shared some great tips at Back to School Night or in the syllabus for you to support your child (and the teacher) throughout the year. The grade level presentations have been posted to the school website. The info in these Power Points should give you some great ideas for how you can support your student this year. In addition, the “Do’s and Don’ts” chart below is a helpful reminder of general pitfalls to avoid as well as strategies to implement that go a long way in communicating and collaborating with your child’s teachers. Thanks for reading and thanks for your support!
